Talk like a Pirate Day! (also known as TLAP Day) Yes, there is such a day. It's Sept. 19th and buccaneers and privateers all over the world celebrate it. It's the one day when "everyone is a pirate!" Why not plan a shindig with Pirate party ideas... you will need to walk the peg leg walk, and talk the talk...Ya' see Matey?

Thanks to the brainstorming of two Portland, Oregon, men...John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), we all can become a Pirate for a day. What a great reason to have a party!

There's a special lingo that pirates know...and you're going to love to teach it to your party guests...and they are going to enjoy learning it. Shiver me Timbers, get the treasure maps and parrots out and let's all sing a Pirate song, "Fifteen men on the dead man's chest -- Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!" You must remember these old movie favorites those dashing, buccaneers in them...

Get ready for your next pirate party whether it's a birthday, Halloween or Sept. 19th...Just make sure to mark the Date with an X! Send out Treasure Map invitations and get everyone an eye patch, but be sure to hide your gold doubloons before the crew gets there. Be sure to give each guest a special pirate name as well...Watch the fun begin as soon as the party gets started!
