Robert Burns Day, or Burns Night, is a Scottish celebration of the poetry and life of the Scottish poet, Robert Burns. It's traditionally celebrated on January 25th. Burns wrote an "Ode to Haggis", an authentic Scottish dish made of oatmeal and meat, so that's the perfect dinner idea for a Robert Burns Day party menu. Haggis is usually served with "neeps and tatties". Neeps (swede)are turnips and tatties are potatoes.
