Black Cat Carved In A Pumpkin
We went to a Pumpkin Festival in October. It was a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels in Salem County...if any of this information is incorrect, please let me know so I can change it. This is a wonderful charity and we chose a wonderful day to visit the fair grounds. It was a Sunday, the weather was comfortable, the fair wasn't crowded.
It was called the Giant Pumpkin Carve and it is usually only one day but this year the group who runs it decided to hold it for two days. Most people were not aware of the additional day, so when we went there was a nice size crowd there, but not so long we had to wait on lines like the vistors did the day before. We found this info out over a cup of delicious pumpkin spice coffee.
The pumpkins were in two barns and some of the exhibits were pretty plain. But there were quite a few worth mentioning, so those are the ones we will focus on. Since it was all for a worthwhile charity we are glad there were so many entries, no matter how good or bad we thought they were. It was all done for a good cause.
