How to Make Cookie Clay

You will need the following ingredients:

2 cups salt

2/3 cups water

1 cup cornstarch

1/2 cup cold water

Mix the salt with 2/3 cups water in medium sized saucepan.

Stir and boil.

Add cornstarch and cold water.

Keep heating if it does not get thick.

Roll out dough on board floured with cornstarch.

Let the kids mold away when the dough has cooled. When they create an ornament poke a hole at the top using a pencil, pen or hard end of a paint brush. This will be for the hook or ribbon to hang the ornament. Then allow the ornaments to dry and decorate them...the ornaments will usually dry in 24 hours.

Then they can be painted, glittered or colored anyway you like. You can get some really great ideas and tools with this
