The homemade Zombie costume is usually a very popular Halloween dress up idea. There are so many different styles you can go with when you want to be a zombie. The first is Jack Skellington and Sallie, these two characters make a great couples costume idea and is easy to make. Of course you can also be a nurse, a
Coffin Bride Child Costume,
Zombie Doctor Teen Costume, a cheerleader, a football player,
The Mail Zombie Child Costume,
or just a guy in a shabby, shredded business suit who happened to become one of the walking dead on his way to or from work. Or you can go the dress up route and make a movie star zombie outfit for an outfit the other girls would die for.
Wearing a homemade zombie costume to a party makes for a great opportunity to gross people out with your costume. Isn't Halloween about scary stuff? While you are mixed amongst the people who are wearing clean costumes, your zombie costume can be as detailed as you want it to be. Making a homemade zombie costume is not difficult and only requires a few things.
Here's what you will need:
Make Your Zombie Clothes
The first thing to decide is what kind of clothes you want to wear. Many people are buried in formal clothing, but you can dress however you choose. If you go with a group of people you can arrange a theme for all of you to dress as. The only thing to keep in mind is that the clothes you choose will be ruined as you want to look like you just rose from the dead.
Shred your clothing, put dirt on it, rub the stuff in...make it look like something died in that outfit.
Makeup and Fake Blood.
You can find plenty of
Monster Makeup Kit and fake blood at a Halloween store or online. Make sure to buy something that is gentle on your skin. You dont' want to look like a zombie when you take your costume makeup off!
Props For Your Costume.
This is optional for the costume. A pair of fake teeth can make a zombie costume look good, or different props can be sued if you go as a themed group.
To make the zombie costume begin by tearing your clothing. Start by making small cuts with scissors, but tear the rest by hand to give it a more authentic look. Add grass stains, dirt and blood to the clothing to make it look like you just crawled out of the ground. After that add the makeup to add cuts to your face, and fake blood wherever you see fit. Finally add any props that you have decided on for the perfect zombie look.
