How To Make A Frankenstein Costume
Here are some very simple instructions for making a homemade Frankenstein costume. Add your own unique and creative ideas in whenever you like, after all, it is going to be your costume or your child's. Here they are:
Apply the green face paint to the face area. Once dry, add scars with the black face paint.
Cut a piece of poster board that is the height of the child's head. Curve this to make a cylinder and tape the ends together. Cut the entire face area out of the cylinder. Place onto child's head with their green face poking through the face area. This will form the classic shape of Frankenstein's head. Glue onto the ends of the headband.
Paint 2 wine corks (or two halves of a wine cork) with the silver paint. Let dry. These will be frankensteins bolts. Glue onto the ends of the green headband. Let dry. Place headband on the child's neck, with the 2 bolts on the side and the open end of the headband facing the front on the child's neck.
Put on old or worn clothes. Dust with baby powder to add a distressed look to Frankenstein.
If you have boots or platform shoes that would add a great finishing touch to your homemade Frankenstein costume.
Enjoy!
