Here is a Halloween Snack Recipe that's easy and fun to make. Sometimes I get tired of decorating cupcakes for all my parties, so I tried to work with a Twinkie...and guess what? It worked out great. I made a Halloween Spider snack cake and everybody went crazy for it. The funny thing is, it was so easy.
This is only the beginning of Twinkie love for me! What's so great about Twinkies? They are already made, there are lots of creative and unique decorating ideas you can come up with for them and they taste good...oh, did I mention that they are CHEAP? (I like stuff that saves me time and money) Plus kids love Twinkies!
Take a look at this Halloween snack picture I took.
This little spider was so easy to make. Here's what you will need:
Twinkies
Chocolate Frosting
String Licorice
A Sugar Eyeball
Take your Twinkie and put a very light coating of chocolate frosting on it and let it set a while.
Cut your licorice in strips of two, three or four inches. Insert them into the Twinkie, I used four on each side.
Then place your sugar eyeball in the middle of the front of the Twinkie...that's it.
You can also put the legs in and then apply your frosting.
You can always let the kids decorate their own Twinkie. Put out the supplies they will need and let them create thier own Halloween snack!
Your Halloween snack can double as a recipe for a fun party activity. The kids will love this, it also means you don't need to make cupcakes or a cake to serve your party guests.
