The Demon Gene Simmons Costume
The Gene Simmons Costume, The Demon, is a Wild Man Halloween Costume. Like Halloween itself, Kiss was into costuming and showmanship. Gene and the guys could also use make up better than most women I know. Simmons is the lead singer in the Rock and Roll Band Kiss.
Today the Gene Simmons Costume is one of the most outrageous rock and roll costumes for sale.
Kiss started out in the early 1970's in the New York Music scene, and quickly rose to fame. They were known, not only for their music, but their outrageous costumes, makeup and showmanship. On stage they would thrill their fans with fire-breathing, pyrotechnics, smoking guitars, and blood spitting, though it was really yougurt and food coloring! Much more dramatic to think it was blood.
They were known on stage as The Demon (Simmons), Starchild (Paul Stanley), Spaceman (Ace Frehley) and The Catman (Peter Criss). Frehley and Criss left the band in the early 80's. Like the music, or not, the painted faces of the band, Kiss, make great costumes!
A friend of mine dressed up in a The Demon costume last Halloween. I have to tell you he looked so great I wanted an autograph! I would never have believed what a great costume this is if I had not seen it for myself.
